Hi all,
I have two RIRs and one BR hen, approx 1.5 years old, not laying right now as we are in the middle of winter here in NZ. Upon cleaning out their coop I have noticed HEAPS of grey flakes under the perch where they sleep. I'm assuming these are skin flakes, they are at the end of their moult and they definitely don't have scaly leg issues. Is this grey stuff normal or have they got some kind of sickness? I am battling red mites - is this related somehow? Any advice whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
