I ordered 3 Runner ducklings, fawn & white, & I think she gave me Mallards. They have black feet & the Zorro mask.

Even as ducklings the Runners will stand up right. They should not have a Zorro mask either. I can not find any pics of the ducklings but if you go to feathersite.com they have some there.

Usually the first couple of days of a runner's life, they don't stand up that straight... Not enough to notice. And when they start standing up right, they don't do it often. They usually sit squatty like any other duck, esp if they are not show quality.

fawn and white runner ducklings should be almost all yellow with a slightly darker yellow or tan patched on their chests and around their faces. They shoud have orange feet/bills... They should NOT have black feet or black bills. And they def should not have dark eye stripes.

Here he is day old- see the tan on his face? Definitely not stripes

In the tub, maybe a week old?-

Standing up right- he's maybe a week old here-

Here's one of him maybe two and a half weeks old-

Are you going to be able to get a refund? Nothing wrong with mallards, but if you wanted runners for their egg production, mallards are a poor substitution. Also, runners can't fly away...mallards CAN!

I ordered thru the local feed mill, I called the gal this morning to tell her & she was shocked, she didn't even know what they were I guess....so she was going to call the hatchery & find out what was up & get me the right ones.

I wanted Runners cause of the way they look.

You could still have runners, just chocolate or some other color instead of the fawns.
