Bald E. Chicken

She's was pecked by other chickens before we got her, then attacked by a raccoon. Her poor little head is still bald and she's not the prettiest chicken but she is our favorite. She's like a puppy.

Hey, nope it was from (well, we think!) the heat in the battery cages...chickens lose excess heat from their combs so they get large and floppy. It did start perking up a bit whilst she lived with us, but never stood up straight, bless her

Boff Orps and a RIR in a dust bath line up. They are 8 week in this pic, but almost 15 weeks now. Only 1 has a name yet - Hannibal. One of the buffs that pecks EVERYTHING.
