My beautiful cuckoo maran. She is such a drama queen! Her first egg was a 2+ hour production. With both roosters in the coop with her! And a hen coming to check on and sooth her. Eventually she laid an egg. She only lays when she feels like it though. I'm lucky if its once a week. My other 2 hens are laying 5-6days in a row. Is this common for some chickens? She has laid 3x in 3 weeks.

My Sapphire Gem pullet Opal, started laying at 3 months! She is almost 5 months now, and has given us a total of 5 eggs! My beautiful EE Ella, who is no longer with us, have us very pretty blue eggs. She gave us an egg every other to every two days. She was such a beautiful girl and a very tough loss. The second pic is Opal, first and third are Ella, and the last is our Cinnamon Queen, ISA Brown and Ella’s eggs.

My Diva turned out to be a rooster. I guess I wanted him to lay eggs so badly. LOL
