Well I'm going to bump this because I really need some inspiration as well! I'm looking for a way to do mobile turkey breeder pens for 2-4 birds that has a way to lock them up at night to protect them from predators. Oh and I want the turkeys to be happy and brood their own young in the pens. Ideas???

Our turkey pens are not mobile but we built 2. The first one was simple, but we outgrew it within a few months.



They used that outhouse-like coop when they were small, but once they got bigger they didn't. Anyhow, then we expanded into a more solid, permanent 3 run pen.


The outhouse was cut in half. I don't think I have one of it totally completed and right now the far end is covered in plastic for winter protection, but you get the idea. We have Narragansett in the first run, Heritage Bronze in the second run and the third run is where our Rio Grande live.
