I have a silkie hen that is currently in a little coop with 3 chicks she hatched out about 3 weeks ago. She usually likes to give me that warning cluck when i go to feed all 4 of them. However today she was being especially quiet and i noticed that she wasnt looking straight at me. Could this possibly be an early stage of wry neck?

Yes it could be wryneck. That can be common in silkies and could be a vitamin E or thiamine deficiency, a head or neck injury, or genetics. You will need to get human vitamin B complex and give 1/4 tablet daily as well as a chick vitamin with thiamine. Mix a little chick feed twice a day with water and a bit of scrambled egg for selenium, and feed her from the bowl.

oh okay would she be able to fix her neck? Or is this permanent. Her head isn't flipped completely but she is staring funny
