Our BBB is now 8 weeks old and I just bought it's first bag of gamebird grower on sunday and was mixing it with the rest of the starter that was left. Well we ran out of the starter Wednesday morning and my poult refuses to eat the grower. I don't know what to do. Right now it's eating hard boiled eggs, some salad scraps and this morning a left over grits. This grower is from the feed store that I get all my feed from. I don't want to buy from Atwoods which is my only other choice. My chicken will not eat in the past, but if I have to I might have to try it for the poult.

sorry I haven't been back. my sweet neighbor down the road has a couple of turkey poults that are a few weeks older and has hers on Nutrena all flock grower and gave me some to see if mine would eat it and mine took right to it. Thank the Lord, I was at a loss. So I went yesterday and bought a 50# bag and I think we are good to go!!

My hens and roo were not very happy at first but they're ok now, with a few extra sunflower seeds and loving from mom!

Was the rejected feed made from gmo seed?
I have heard some stories of some animals refusing to eat gmo crops.

I was wondering the samething? I threw a full cup of the stuff on the open ground and the chicken and wild birds haven't hardly touched it. Months ago a friend of mine had gave me a full bag a scratch after she lost all her hens to a coyote and my girls wouldn't touch it. It was mainly emptly shells and dried out corn. Yuck!! I threw the whole bag away I looked at the Expiration date and it was good and no mold and had my husband smell it, since I have Celiac disease. I have to use gloves to feed my featherbabies. But I do wonder about it I think I'm going to just trash the feed, It's just so hard to stay away from GMO unless you can mix and afford to mix and make your feed yourself.
