I've read through many of the deworming posts here but am not finding the exact right information I need. I'm sorry to make another post on Fenbendazole. I purchased capsules from our local feed store. The bottle doesn't say anything about it being for goats like many of the posts here talk about and about correct dosages. This bottle said each capsule has 6.7mg of Fenbendazole and 1 capsule should be administered per 4-7lbs of bodyweight. I attached pics of the bottle. Each of my hens are 4lbs+. I took the time to open one capsule, put on a little mashed feed and gave to each of my girls one at a time. I think I followed the bottle instructions correctly but now reading all these varying opinions on dosing has scared me!

We also only gave 1 dose to each hen, 1 day. (We later learned that day we really didn't have a serious worm problem.) Bottle says egg withdrawal is 7-17 days!! How do you know when to stop tossing and start eating again?! I'm crying throwing these eggs away!

I know I will have a ton of peeps disagreeing with me but anytime I have used a dewormer, I do a two to three day egg withdrawal. I am not familiar with this particular dewormer but so many of the ones used on animals are the same ones used in humans so I don't worry about it.
Just did a quick goole search on fenbemdazole for humans and found it is not approved for antiparasitic in humans but is being used in anti cancer research in humans.
Let the groans and eye rolls begin, but I would personally not waste the eggs.
