poultry dust in vent

Will it hurt to get poultry dush in the inside of the vent, first 1/2'' or so?

I feel like I have to dust her vent directly to deal with bugs around it, but worried it will get inside of her.

When we've dusted birds, we always do the whole back end including the vent itself, they seem to hold it closed usually, dusting around / over it doesn't seem to hurt them. Wouldn't do a bird that has a prolapse or been vent picked etc, or actually try to get dust in the vent.
