Poultry genetics site for children?

Does anyone know of a site where kids can learn basic poultry genetics?

My ten year old daughter has blue Silkies that she is raising to show and hopefully to breed. We're also going to be doing breeding projects with other birds as well so she needs to have an understanding of basic genetics, particularly as it relates to plumage color. I don't have a very firm grasp of it myself so I'm hoping to find a good site that we can use for her to learn what she needs.

Anyone have any sites to suggest?
