 I've been raising Guinea Fowl for almost a year now, I only have 6 and have been caring for them all winter because I can't find anyplace nearby to butcher them.  I'm not going to do it myself, they're my buddies and I even have them named, but I would like to try the meat and free up space to get a few regular chickens this spring.
