Poultry Records

We have been tracking using a google sheet for years. We will hit 3000 eggs the end of this month. There is also a rough estimate of costs. Build + feed + incidentals. Still pretty expensive eggs.

Just recently I added a tab that shows temp & Humidity for inside the coop and the official town reading. I find that interesting. The coop is much slower to rise and fall. But over time the coop and town end up with about the same temp/Humidity. I record the reading a few times during the day. This is leading me to think a little more ventilation would allow for quicker balancing of in coop conditions.

I found a great Google Sheet on this blog: http://craftthyme.com/egg-chicken-tracking-spreadsheet/

I just found it and downloaded it today, and I am going to start tracking my eggs more meticulously. I downloaded the Google Sheets app so I can track feed expenses, eggs collected, and egg sales on the day purchased/collected/sold. It seems pretty good so far!

Unfortunately I couldn't push my small brain to create my own spreadsheet, but this seems to fit the bill.

Many years ago, I had my wife create an Excel spreadsheet. We update it annually and offer it for free. I post it every year to backyard chickens. Here is the link: https://stewartcreeksomethings.files.wordpress.com/2021/01/2021-chicken-tracker.xlsx
good luck,
raizin
Thank you and your wife for this spreadsheet. It is better than any app and yet tells me what I really want to know. I used it years ago but stopped when I saw how much each egg cost me. Now I need to know if they can cover their room and board and your spreadsheet will give me the answer. Thanks again.
