Poultry-safe human insect repellent?

Hey yall. So, Im looking to see if there are any insect repellents for humans that are safe around poultry. I suffer from anxiety & depression and as a form of self therapy I like to hang out with my birds outside. I sit around near them and they will come up and interact with me, sometimes including nibbling or pecking. Lately however Im getting eaten alive by ants, flies and mosquitos and its causing me a lot of itchy bumps and also mental stress. Just wondering if there are any repellents I can use on my body to keep bugs away but wont injure my birds if they nibble or peck at me. I also have pet cats so it needs to be safe around cats as well.

I believe lemon grass and lemon balm repel bugs and are pet friendly

I use 10 drops of peppermint 10 drops lavender oil in 8-16 oz water (or witch hazel) shake and spray my arms and legs. It keeps the bugs away. Not sure how the chickens like it but I have one in my lap right now
