What causes an egg to be pourous?
Is this a lack of some sort of nutrient ?

Will an egg like this hatch?
I got a couple eggs from a friend and one looks pourus but I would really like it to hatch. They just went in the Bator Tuesday so I don't know if there is any development yet.

My BBL polish always laid porous looking white eggs... and I almost always had great development and good hatch rates... at present she's quit laying and her daughter that is a a WCBlue X BBL lays a normal looking egg... but some of hers have come up duds even though I've seen my BWA roo look successful with her.

Get any rain down there?

Did you see the pics of the chicks I got from you on the AZ thread?

I don't think anything causes pourous eggs. I think it's just somthing that you get everynow and then.

You can try and hatch it, but from what I have read and learned, they don't have a high chance of hatching.

We got a pittiful amount of rain, and it all when in my WCBlue polish coop. We got home in time to rescue them. Did the chicks all turn white? I'm heading over to check put the pics.
