Hi all,
I have had my three hens for almost a month now, they are all ex battery hens. Since arrival they have settled in well, one of them has become the boss, which is not a problem, however when I went out to the coop this morning I could see blood in there. I then looked at the hens and it was not difficult to see which one had an injury, one of the girls comb was bleeding, this hen is called Miss Marple and the boss is called Tallulah. There is no other way I can think of that caused the injury in the coop other than Tallulah having a pop at her, I know it is not the third hen called Cecilia because she has a virus at the moment and is on antibiotics, she does not move much, but is getting better.

I have seen Tallulah pecking Miss Marple around food, and will only let Miss Marple eat when she has finished, this I understand is their behavior pattern. So why would she peck or attack her when they are in the coop, they are only ever locked in the coop at night time, and they have full range of the garden during the day.

I am worried that this will get worse, especially now blood has been drawn. Any advise appreciated please.

i had the same problem for like a week then they randomly stopped i dunno what i did but it worked
