Prairie Bluebells per Hoovers Hatchery claim that they lay M/L eggs; while I stumbled across a nicely written article from Silver Homestead with great photos showing XL/Jumbo eggs barely fitting in the egg cups. Does anyone else have any input on egg size? I’d love to see egg color as well if anyone has any photos:)

I have some of their starlight green eggers, which are supposedly very similar. Mine lay giant eggs, bigger than my liege fighters. They also lay nearly every day. They're absolute egg machines.

My prairie Bluebell lays large and medium size. She's been laying for 5 months now (she was 10 months old before she laid her first egg!). A few have been close to x-lg size. She's a petite bird so I doubt she'd ever lay a jumbo. The color is a soft powder blue and hard to photograph! 🙃
Picture of her first egg and HRH Princess about two months before she laid.

My one PBE started laying right at 22 weeks. She's been laying for a month now, and they haven't gotten any larger than barely medium size, even though I had read (and been assured by the seller) that their eggs run L-XL. I'd thought it odd that my smallest bird (I've also got Black Copper Marans and Easter Eggers) was expected to lay the largest eggs, but this gives me a bit of hope that they'll get larger as she gets older. Thank you!
