Got word yesterday that a good friend of ours lost their 18 year old son. He was riding in the back of the family car with his 2 other brothers, the 16 year old was driving. The 16 year old lost control and crossed the center line, hitting another car, killing Patrick who was in the back seat. Both the other brothers were taken to the hospital and released, the other driver is in stable condition. Sad thing is, charges are pending. So here is a 16 year old who will live the rest of his life knowing he killed his brother, faces charges. Rain was likely a factor, plus he just got his liscense recently. I figure maybe he was driving to fast for conditions or something. Poor family. Oh, and they were heading into town to pick up some last minute party things, it was the 18 year olds birthday... so sad.
