Predator proof chicken wire

What is the best kind predator proof chicken wire to use?

Realistically, "chicken wire" isn't predator proof. I use 2x4 welded wire in my run abd and hardware mesh on my coop vents and cracks.

Chicken wire is pretty flimsy and the gaps are big enough small predators can either slip in or reach through.

I like 1/2" grid wire (19 gauge or heavier) attached to a solid frame and then boards nailed in place over it. Sturdier than chicken wire and too small an opening for anything larger than a small field mouse or an insect to squeeze or reach through.

Yeah, if you are going the wire route, use hardware cloth, not chicken wire.
