predator resiant roosting boxes

i have a friend who has some chickens who was having a problem with snakes .we designed and built a roosting box with snakes in mind . that was three years ago at this time we are now building them for sale . i would like any coments you might have or if you would like more details, e mail boomerge@ yahoo .com.

well it is too big to be a nesting box and too small to be a coop 6 compartments 2'x2'x2' stacked 2 high x 3 wide if you have a better name let me know .

I can imagine it now, 8 chickens cramming into their favorite box ready to be shut in at night and then laying eggs on their own piles because it is their favorite!

Does the human have to close all the boxes every night? Is it made for sleeping or egg laying? Since sleeping they'd all stay together and laying they would need entry and exit?
