I put out the trail cameras and found that the big black bird that I saw 5 times in the chicken pen was indeed a young buzzard , the chichen had been killed by an owl , ( it came back to get another one ) the dog heard the noise and run it off before it could much after the first kill . now that dog has found action in the middle of the nite he sleeps at the chicken pen gate . So when the owl came back he got his pitcure took and almost got dog bit and got no chicken . buzzard finished off 1st one and he hasn't came back . gotta love that dog , he for a while slept with the chickens , wouldn't hurt one for anything . just a little 20 pound mutt .
