Prepping the coop

hi ! We have 9 week babies that we are putting in our coop this week and are trying to make sure we do it right. We got this coop used but it’s amazing. We power washed but now what do we need to do to get it ready for our little flock?

It looks great, i’m sure your hens will really like that! What bedding do you plan on using?

I would fill the bottom with pine shavings or natural wood shavings (Not cedar as it’s toxic to hens) and then put hay in the nest boxes. Straw holds mites sometimes so i prefer to use hay. Hope ty is helped!
