Thanks!
I don't do anything special other than
not take pics when they're looking crappy.
They're just babies with new feathers so they look extra pretty.
The first pic if actually 2 silvers which are from blue x blue breeding.
These are my first silvers and they don't look at that "silver" to me
(other than some pale gray on their bodies) but
maybe the champagne color is baby color/feathers. We shall see.
The one behind the silvers in pic #1 is a lilac,
AKA blue fawn and the correct genetic color name for lilacs.
Lilacs are from chocolate male x blue female breeding.
But you cannot get lilacs from blue male x chocolate female cross.
The later cross will result in blacks and blues and thr males will carry
chocolate. Chocolate is sex linked.
In the 2nd pic you can see on the bottom right a mature lilac ducks head.
Above her is a lilac. Just above the lilac is a silver
and then directly to the left of the silver is a buff albeit over exposed in this pic.
The buffs are from lilac x lilac breeding are not what I was expecting.
I was thinking they would be Buff Orpington color
but these are a very pale ivory color and another buff I have is a VERY pale white/gray.
It will be interesting to see how they all turn out.
