Hi, I have a pair of sebastopols and mixed orpington flock. All are free ranging together and all seems peaceful. However the geese are keen to eat both their waterfowl pellets (we are feeding the same amount as when the chickens were penned separately and the amount we gave seemed to satisfy them, they have an acre of grass too) and the layers pellets we put out for the chickens. This is even if the layers pellets are in the chicken feeder (plastic dome/dish kind of feeder, had a mind blank of the name!). We didn't think that the geese could access the layers pellets as the space that they fit their beaks into is quite small. Does anyone have any tips on making sure the geese don't eat the layers pellets?

Unfortunately the only thing to do is to feed the chickens where the geese don't have access.

I feed All Flock or Flock Raiser to my chickens, (with oyster shell free choice), because I have 2 geese as well. That's what works for us! Sometimes I will get a bag of duck pellets to mix in from time to time.
