I want to start my 7 week old chicks on a coccidiosis preventative program, I have a bottle of Corrid and would like recommendations on treatment, i.e dosage, length of treatment and any other tips.
I have 21 Wyandottes and they are all now healthy. Just want to avoid future problems. Thanks in advance

Have you had those chicks on your property the whole time? Coccidiosisis most common between 3-6 weeks. If they have been slowly getting out on soil, they should be gradually building up a tolerance to the strain of coccidia in your environment. There is a medicated feed that is available if you want to go that route, but I have fed both medicated to one group and non-medicated to my second batch a year later, and never have had a case. It doesn’t always prevent an outbreak. The preventative dosage of Corid is 1/2 tsp per gallon of the liquid, or 1/3 tsp per gallon of the powder Corid for 5 days. I would probably just watch for any symptoms and treat with the maximum dosage (4 times stronger) if there was an outbreak. Each person may have a different approach. Here is a handy chart with the dosage:
