hi! i was wondering what everyone does for preventive health for their chickens! my chickens now get fed a layer feed, they get our table scraps, yogurt, and some scratch grains when they have access to our larger pen. i was wondering what else i can do to ensure their health.

I live where it's quite hot, so I moved my chicks out when they were about 2 weeks old, I think that really helped, as their immune systems got used to the dirt and plants and everything else outdoors.

I would always keep some corid on hand for cocci, and make sure your feed store carries a dewormer.

Their diet seems really good, and the ingrediets in the yogurt are good for when they get sick.

My chickens get a fresh scoop of feed once a day, and they get their water changed a couple times a week. Make sure to scrub out their water bucket, to get out all the dirt and other gunk.

Thanks! I didn't know about the corid and I have to find some dewormer. I'm
Not sure that mine carries it!
