Price for Broilers

I'm checking around in my area for the price of broilers (Cornish X). So far the only place I have checked has been the co-op feed store. They are telling me they want $2.50 per chick? That sounds a little steep. It that the going rate? Keep in mind I live in Newfounland, Canada and not the US.

I live in the us too, some are around the the other post and I have seen them going for $3 a bird too.

Im in the US to an dont have them but the breeds I do sell goes for $3 a chick.
