Problem with crop??

Below are pics of my hen, Cinnamon, yesterday when her crop was looking extended and then another I took this morning after a night of no food or drink. Does she look normal this morning? I didn’t feel anything either (felt on right side of chest for lumps, bumps, dough-Iness) but not 100% sure I know what I’m doing. Thoughts? Should I give her only water for a day or so to be safe?

Thanks!

Practice feeling normal crops of your others during morning and evening, so that you feel like an expert. I pick them up and run my hand over the chest area. She looks like she has a nice full crop in the afternoon, and it seems to be emptying overnight normally. Is she a big eater? Do you feed free choice layer or all flock feed throughout the day? I would limit treats, and keep an eye on her crop. Right now, I think everything is normal.

I’ll definitely practice that, thanks! I’d definitely like to get more familiar with what’s normal and what’s not. I feed the all flock as I have non layers too, with oyster shells and grit out to eat as they want. It doesn’t seem like they eat a lot of the grit. Maybe I’ll put more bowls around. I will admit, I probably give too many treats, so I’ll cut that down.
