My chicks are about the same age apart as yours.
I look at it this way, if they aren't chasing down the babies and hurting them, leave them together. Mine have integrated well, but there are still times a smaller one thinks he is a big guy and steps on some toes... gets a quick peck and runs off. The bigger ones still hang out with their own age, but once in a while, a little guy will be found snuggled up right next to the older ones. They have been together since were 2 days old and almost 3 weeks. I did not separate them. Well all but one, he was getting picked on. A little bantam. Now it thinks its a duck. It stays right next to the ducks...even when the ducks are bathing. I hope one day it realizes its a chick...I am afraid it might try and enter the pond. It still gets pecked when it goes near the chickens...poor baby.
I live in Florida too. The weather is plenty warm enough to put them all together outside. Just so there is enough space for the little guys to get away, I would worry too much. They will work out the pecking order themselves. If you wait to long, I am afraid you might have too much trouble getting them together.
Now, if only I could get my ducks to get along...they don't like the baby ducks...sigh...Ducks don't just peck, they bite and bite hard...poor baby ducks! I have to keep them separated. Yesterday, I left them range outside. It went well. I think the older ducklings were distracted by 24 chicks, they didn't go after the baby ducklings once. I will try again today.
