i dont think i can do the deed myself

thnks so much

There's a place near me too that will process chickens for a fee too. I'll be doing my own processing, I don't want them to give me the wrong chicken back.

Not all that hard . We just came in from doing up 5 of our's. I have not done one in over 30 yrs My wife has never done this . 3 1/2 Hr start to finish.
One Q: Should I cut up now or in two days before the freezer

Thank you all everyone

Maybe there is a member close that will be able to help:cd:ya:ya

Well, you can cut it up if you want to get all the processing/dealing with dead birds/raw meat done in one day. The rest isn't crucial before cutting it up. Now, I wouldn't eat or freeze for two days, but you can cut up now if you want. However, you will notice that your meat isn't as pretty when it comes time to eat it. If you cut through muscle before rigor goes away, you will end up with a more ragged, sloppy looking cuts. It won't be horrible, and won't effect the flavor or texture, but it's something to consider.
