Is there anywhere I can go to find a list of Poultry Processors in Oregon?

The one I was going to use isn't going to be open until July and my birds will be ready 2nd week of June!!

Or can anyone recommend one?

Also about how much can I expect to pay per bird to get them processed?

Thanks!

I have taken my birds to Harringtons. Last year they charged $4 for birds that weighed 8 to 12 lbs. They are terriffic people.

Thanks for the replies!

I found Mineral Springs Poultry in Willamina and gave them a call. They are much closer to me then Harringtons.

They have great prices. $2.50/bird in a bag and fit me in this Thurday. I called this morning!

Wish me luck. I think I have most of the birds sold. I hope!

Good to know. Still too far for me to go to. We have a couple places out in The Dalles to use. There was a place in Parkdale, but my grandpa said they "switched a cow" on him once back in the 70's and he would kill me if I went there.

Yeah if I ever get to hve meat birds, I'll take mine to Mineral Springs. They have great prices and I've heard many good things about them.

Oregon is great and you can find the licensed processors on the state's webpage.

http://oda.state.or.us/dbs/licenses...order=ascending&-maxrecords=10&-skiprecords=0

if that doesn't work:
HARRINGTON'S POULTRY
CLAUDE & SHIRLEY OGLE
11825 SE REVENUE RD
BORING, OR 97009

or

MINERAL SPRINGS POULTRY
NELS YOUNGBERG
25500 YAMHILL RIVER RD
WILLAMINA, OR 97396

Mineral Springs was great. It was only like $3 a bird to get them processed.

Also there is a processor being built in Scio.. I'll post when they open as I have not yet got a definite date from them. (Hopefully in July)
