Our first (and early) chick just hatched but it looks like it may have a prolapse? Any one know what this is? Is there anything I need to or can do for it?

That's just a rough navel from hatching. Usually I put a bit of triple antibiotic ointment on it and keep them separate from other chicks for a few days so they don't peck at it and make it worse. He should be fine though. Other birds pecking at it would be the biggest issue, so I'd definitely recommend keeping him separate until it's gone, it usually takes at least a couple days.
