prolapse or not?

I have read all the posts and seen the nice pictrures (eew) on prolapses but I am not sure if this discribes what is what my chicken has. She has about 2 inches hanging out of her behind. It is not red or puffy. Is this a prolapse that I never saw or caught? Yes we do have a couple of chickens who lay enourmous eggs and one that has been laying very long ones lately. We have 5 Rhode Island Reds and normally get 4 eggs a day and for almost a week have only been getting only 3 a day so a figured something was wrong. Is it too late to help her repair this or is it something else completely? I really appreciate everyone's experience and have been reading this blog for a year since we started raising our chickens. This is the first real problem we have run into.
