I have a 5 month old heritage easter egger who has yet to lay. She has been inside with my bantam silkie no contact with other chicken yet. They do go out in a separate pen during the day. For a while I've noticed they both seem too small for there age. They eat medicated Purina chick grower, grass, live mealworms, rice, oatmeal. Supper picky. I bathed the egger today because I noticed her constantly concerned about her vent. I found this photo. She has been pooping little poops and watery poops. The silkie seems fine. I soaked her in warm watter with Epson salts, and applied some vitrimcin spray and coconut oil to het vent. I have no idea what's going on. When she flexes a little red circle of interior comes out.

I would cut out the oatmeal, rice and grass. A couple of mealworms as a daily treat should be adequate.
See that she's eating her normal nutritionally balance feed. If hungry, she will eat her food.

Provide oyster shell and granite grit free choice.

It would be a good idea to give her 1 Calcium Citrate with D3 daily for a few days.

Check to make sure her crop is emptying overnight.

Photos of the poop would be good.

Thank you for the speedy response warp! Will do asap

Seems to be doing a lot better today, eatting like a pig. I added nutri Dense into the food. She pooped some more normal poops. And that ring of vent stayed inside. I think I'll keep up with the coconut oil for the next cupple days too. More active.
