prolapse vent

My chicken Skye, has a prolapse vent. I cleaned her up and have tried to push it back with vaseline a few times now. It will NOT stay in. It has been 2 weeks since I stopped treatment for her(AFTER A WEEK OF TRYING) she is still running around free ranging with the flock, is healthy and happy. Is the first to the treat bucket still comes to the front porch for afternoon treats etc...guess my question is, has anyone else had a hen like this? I dont want to cull her until its apparent she is not well anymore. How long can Skye live with her prolapse like this?

I have heard to use preparation h on it. Check online to see if that is correct. Its supposed to shrink it back
