I have a two year old rhode island red who I suspect has the beginings of prolapsed vent. Her behaviour is normal and is still active, was eating fine and dust bathing today. However I noticed her struggling to poo, standing there for around a minute in the squatting position. When I looked at her from behind, the vent was slightly sticking out of her however it later returned so it no longer sticks out.

Later this evening when she went to perch I noticed there was a white substance (like white liquid poo) coming out of her vent. I am not sure what this is and would like to know what I should do. Unable to load a picture, will do so in the morningThanks

It could just be a poop, or she may be having troubles with an abnormal egg, such as a shell-less egg.
The fact that the tissues you saw went back into her vent is a good sign, a full prolapse would mean they stayed out.
A picture would be helpful whenever you can post one.
