Proper food?

Hi there. Can someone advise me of the proper food for a goose? I have a pair of Sebastopol geese that hatched out some babies, and I’m noticing both adults feathers have gotten brittle. I was told an all flock feed would be sufficient, but now I’m doubting that.

I would appreciate any advice.

All flock and flock raiser are the best feeds for geese

You could also try giving them some supplemental vitamins like b vitamin complex in their water along with extra treats like carrots, romaine, arugula, apples, berries, whatever they like.
You could let them have a little of the goslings food or meal worms to boost their protein for the time being if that helps.
They’re close to molting if they just passed nesting season so they’re about to replace most of their feathers anyway, how old are your pair?

Do they tend to have more brittle feathers before they molt? It isn’t more than a couple on both parents, but I was still alarmed to see them. They are both about a year and a half old.

I do give them meal worms once a day for a little treat, but other than ample grazing and the supplemental all flock, that’s all they get. Thanks for the tips on the other treats! Babies seem to be growing well, but of course don’t have feathers yet, so I can’t see other than that they’re looking healthy to my novice eye. I’m used to chickens, this is my first foray into geese.
