It definitely sounds like a coon. My parents had this happen to some of their exotic pheasants. Ripped them to pieces and didn't really eat them. they had a gov't tracker come out and he said it was a coon.

I am going to try a variety of tricks you kind folks have given me and hopefully one or two of them will do the trick and the rest will be insurance.
