Here is my coop! Very weak and easily penetrate-able by determined predators. I would love to have some advice as what I could do... temporarily until my permanent coop is built! any advice would be much appreciated. My chickies are still hanging out in their brooder (no heat) but come into this coop during the day (they LOVE it!) thank you!

1/2 inch wire mesh. chicken wire will stop nothing. It was not designed to do anything other than keep chickens in. so re wire or re wire over the existing wire with 1/2 inch wire mesh/ cloth

Thank you for the advice! I'm almost positive that it already has hardware cloth on it not chicken wire. It's just raccoons and weasels I'm worried about

ok then, has it got a covered bottom? I realise that's not always idea but that way nothing can tunnel/ squeeze under.

1/2 inch is good for all. I hope your new coop has hard wire cloth on it. and if its a coop that doesn't move then digging down a ft with wire or concrete is also a good idea
