I spent an hour trying to find the answer and now my head hurts. Can anyone please tell me the Protein % of sprouted wheat. I'm trying to determine if the work and time is worth the final result. Normally the protein is 8-10% as dry seed and hoping it increases after they sprout.
thank you

To the best of my knowledge, it will increase initially upon sprouting but then decrease as it becomes fodder.
I wouldn't expect more than a 1% increase initially and that is from bioavailability.
As it becomes fodder, the protein will be used up.

It's important to understand that total crude protein % isn't sufficient to understand what chickens need. They have 13 essential amino acids and vegetative sources, like grains and legumes, are deficient in several of the essentials.
