Thanks,
Ali

Thanks! How would I calculate the ratio? And my littlest Rapptor is going to be fighting for the eggs

Do you have chicks or adults? All chicks need the same kind of food, with a protein content of 16 to 22%. Most of the chick feed at TSC is 20%.
I read about some good sources of protein for chickens on this website:

(Scroll down to #4)

Per TSC website:
Chicks, because they’re babies, need different kinds of food from adult birds. Commercial feed companies formulate chick starter feed with more of the protein that these babies need — 16 to 22 percent. They can transition to adult feed at about 16 weeks.
If you have a specific goal for your flock, such as laying or meat, select the appropriate formulation. Birds being raised as broilers need feed in the 20-22 percent protein range.

Hope this helps.

I hard boil a dzn eggs day my 100 broilers come. I run every thing through the food processor to make it fine and sprinkle on ground and feed. I do that 2 times during week 1. After that I just hard boil, cut in quarters shell and all and drop in brooder. They will pick out what they want and leave the rest.

That way I don't have to purchase separate feed for chicks and full size birds. The only time I do anything different is with turkeys and when raising for cornish hens. I bump up to using Gamebird 28% feed 24/7 for first 3/4 weeks
