Protruding nails dangerous?

Hi. My coop is done but I am worried about one flaw. The sharp tips of the nails and screws protrude into the coop! I was unable to file them off with the attachment I bought for my power drill. I am thinking of putting corks on the ones that are big enough, but some are too small. It's a small coop for three hens. Is this as dangerous as I am imagining - chickens flying about and shredding themselves? I have been so obsessed with removing every other hazard and then created one of my own : Please help solve this problem - if indeed it is one. Thanks.

I use a junior hacksaw for taking off screw ends. Depending on how much room you have to work with, you might need to use just the blade itself and work on the screw until it's weak enough to knock off.

Or, if the screw is protruding far enough, you could screw a wood scrap onto it and maybe nail it just to stop rotation.

Best bet is a dremel tool, or an angle grinder, with a cut-off blade.

If you try bending them you might loosen their hold .....on what I assume is thinner plywood or siding?

Cutting them part way then breaking off will still leave a sharp point that could cause injury.

Got a pic?
