My wife and I were just given 2 golden sex linked chicks for Easter. My neighbor and I had been talking about raising chickens and he sort of forced my hand. They are very sweet and the kids love them already. They were named yesterday. Pecky McPeckerton and Abby are being very well cared for and have as much attention as they can handle. I have been on this site constantly since we received our new additions and have learned a lot. I look forward to learning more. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I always bond with my chickens by spending a lot of time with them. I sit on a milk crate in the coop (that height gets me close to their level) and talk to them. They quickly learn the sound of my voice and come running when they see me. Good luck with your new birds.
