Prozap Dust Help

Hi! I need to dust my 5 chickens with Prozap Garden and Poultry Dust Permethrin per the vet but he doesnt have any experience with it or tips. How much dust per bird? I don't want to overdo it. I read somewhere that they can get sick from overdosing it. Any tips on dusting them? Is this safe for cats and dogs?

Not safe for cats but as long as the cats aren't licking the birds, it's not really an issue. Poor the dust in an old sock and "Bop" them all over with it.
