How do you 'remove' the dirty feathers? Pluck them? Cut with scissors....close to skin or halfway or....?????When I find poopy feathers on rear ends, the first thing I do is check to see when they were wormed?
Usually it has been long enough time that I need to worm them again.
I remove all the poopy feathers. In the summer hens can get fly strike in poopy feathers.
