I added up costs for the new (additional) coop we're going to build and figured somewhere around $500, so I'm budgeting $800 and hope it doesn't get much worse. It'll attach to the existing run, so at least that's one expense I can put off (until I decide to separate the breeds to sell hatching eggs and purebred chicks next spring.)

On the plus side, I found a solid metal exterior door with jams at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for $20 bucks! I also found a couple of big sliding windows for $10 each at another place. Now if I could figure out how to find vinyl siding or appropriate exterior paneling at a huge discount we'd be set. lol
