Pug puppies

My sister is in Southern California and already has a Pug mix, but they just had to put their old Standard Poodle to sleep and now the Pug is very upset, so they've waited a while and have now decided that they want to get him his own new Pug puppy, but she doesn't want to pay a lot and doesn't care about papers.
So far, between the two of us looking on the internet, we've mostly come across puppy scams, a lot of them with the Pugs. Does anybody know if it is mainly Pugs for some reason, or is this Nigerian-type scam hitting all the breeds?

I know they're popular with bulldogs because I was trying to look for a bulldog breeder for my friend. Sucks doesn't it? Hope you guys find a pup soon and I'm sorry for her loss.
