My Lakevelder pullet laid her first egg today! I found it on the ground in the run. She has been poking around the nesting box and I knew she was close - she must have been taken by surprise. It's small and pinkish! Shown are her egg, the brown egg is from my Golden Comet who's been laying a week now, and the white one is a store bought large egg.
