My 3 week old Polish Crested pullet started acting weird yesterday. She is cranking her head to one side, which makes her walk in an unbalanced way. She is still eating and drinking. Does anyone know what is wrong with her?

I would start with giving her a haircut if her crest is large. She may not be able to see well and is trying to peer around the feathers.

What I suspect though, is that she may have taken a peck to the head or run into something and banged her head. Polish are a breed that sports a vaulted skull (a soft slot like a babies). A well placed peck ir head bang can cause them neurological problems. Give her some Poly-vi-sol (without iron) and keep a close eye on her. You may have to remove her until she's recovered if you notice her being bullied. Still, give her a haircut- if she is being picked on she needs to see to at least get away. Same for bumping into stuff. Good luck, I hope she's feeling better soon!

Thanks! I will try your suggestions and see what happens. I hope she will make it.
