about a week ago, I went out into my bantam coop and found my little baby flopping around with the Silkie roo picking on her while she was down(she is a standard barred rock americauna cross, just hatched out by a salmon faverolle this halloween, so she is the same size as the birds int he coop). I quickly separated her into her own little tub, she isn't getting any better. First I thought it was her left leg because she wouldn't put that foot down when put to the ground. Now I'm pretty sure its on her right side because after watching her that is always the side she falls to when trying to stand.

I tried to see if it was her leg by placing her almost horizontal and pressing against her feet simultaneously with my hand. She showed no signs of pain and wasn't really struggling more than I would expect a chicken being held horizontal to do so. She held her feet that way for over a minute like this with no issues on her part. I also put pressure up both her legs to see if there is any sign of pain. She showed no issues.

This being said... I'm stumped

and need help. Any suggestions? I want to avoid culling her at all cost.

Hi, how old is she and how long has she been normal?
I think the only thing you can do really at this point is watch her. Make sure she eats and drinks, give her vitamins.

She hatched on halloween so...*pulls out calcuator* just short of 13 weeks. She didn't have any issues till about a week ago. She was perfectly healthy and happy.

I guess the best thing to do is wait and see (I'm impatient too), and give good supportive care-food, vitamins, and all that other recommended stuff. Hope she gets better.
