Hey everyone!
I have a pullet who is really under the weather...here comes a mouthful, apologies in advance.

On Sunday night we returned after a full day trip away from the homestead and when closing up the coop later than usual my husband found one of our bcm pullets sitting outside the coop, alone on the ground in the run. She had not attempted to roost. So he closed it up and brought her back into the coop and tried to put her on the roost, she fell off onto the droppings board unable to balance. He brought her in and I quickly found her legs and feet to be stiff and frozen. I noted her comb was frostbitten also and she was very lethargic.

This pullet has had quite the tx history already, when we purchased her at 5 months old she came with mites, then later on the whole crew got lice well (which we just finished a round of 4 treatments in early January).

I have been applying vetricyn to her feet after soaking in lukewarm water, the very first soak was barely warmer than cold to make sure it slowly thawed them out. Initially they started bending within a couple minutes. And then small little bubbles appeared in a couple of spots. Some pink watery blood was under her feet wherever she stood on the first day. There is some obviously frostbitten parts but I am wondering if anyone can tell how much of her toes/feet she may lose to frostbite damage.

During her house stay so far she was drinking and eating well, however, today that has stopped, I offered her the usual fermented feed, and even some veggie scraps- no go. She will drink but not much. I have her in my bathtub with a folded towel for cushion. She can stand and kind of walk on her feet but does not by choice. She spends most of the day laying down somewhat tilted to one side with her wings slightly out for balance. Her keel bone is protruding much more than usual and is featherless and she seems thinner. Her stools are VERY runny and mostly cloudy white with specks of green and brown and extremely sickly smelling. I regularly clean her feathers around her vent and underside as they get soiled. I have noticed during the first cleaning above her vent it looks bare and irritated like she has been feather pecked. Photos below of all her bits.

Last week she seemed fine, very energetic and no problems were noticeable. Now it looks like she was either bullied by some flockmates, or got injured somehow, is sick with maybe coccidiosis and is dealing with frostbite. This poor girl is not well!

Aside from fluids, some pain meds from my previously palliative pup, and TLC what can I do to help her with this much going on. If she is being bullied this bad will she ever be able to go back to her flock? And any tips on coccidiosis treatment in Canada? It is oddly difficult to find treatments for chickens here.

Where is the swollen area on her body? A photo further away may be helpful - above the vent? Could it be an impacted preening gland?

Is her crop emptying overnight?
Do you know any cattle farmers? Odd question I know, but if you do, can they give you some Corid (Amprolium) for treatment of Coccidiosis?
Your location does seem to limit treatment options unless you can see a vet. IF you were able to order something online, then I would get SMZ-TMP which is a sulfa drug that will treat Coccidiosis and infection. Hard to tell if what she has going on is due to Coccidiosis, but it's possible when in a weakened state.

Sounds like you are treating the frostbite fine. Only time will tell how much, if any loss will be on the feet.

Chickens can be brutal to one another sometimes. At this point, I wouldn't worry about re-integration, cross one hurdle at time. She needs to be fit and well before going back to the flock.

Sorry for the super close up! It below her tail feather just above her vent. Her tail feathers seem very scraggly/broken too.
I will call our vet and see if they will give me something without bringing her in as I dont think she is going to make it much longer and the stress of transport might do her in. I know someone who has cattle for milk and beef so If I cant get the vet i will if they have something.

This morning the her feet look more pinkish/red and there is skin/scales coming off, she is barely moving and wont eat or drink much at all so its not looking good. Her crop seems to be emptying but there isnt much going in it for the last 30 or so hours. She is frequently emptying liquidy stools/urates that squirt quite far from her body. Poor girl

Poor girl! Doesn't sound like she may last much longer.
Can you syringe or tube fluids into her?
I'm not sure what the lump may be, could be impacted feather follicle, tumor, abscess...hard to know.

She will take a couple sips of water if I hold the bowl up to her head. She has barely moved today at all. She ate one piece of corn but nothing more. I named her Karen quite a while back because she would always jump up on the roost and interrogate me as I cleaned the droppings board. Her staring me down and chirping at me seemed like a good fit haha! She is barely talking to me today.
My vet was able to sell me some amprolium so I am going to pick it up and treat her and the rest if the flock to see if it helps. I'm not super optimistic about Karen, poor girl seems so far off her normal self I will be amazed if she perks up.

I'm glad your vet was willing to work with you.
I hope the meds help.
Let me know how Karen gets along.

Yes I was super thankful!

Unfortunately she passed last night around 10pm. I tucked all the other chickens in and everyone looked okay. This morning I found another chicken had passed and was laying on the sand in the coop floor...i started the amprolium treatment in their water but my heart is heavy, it feels like I caught it too late. So heartbreaking

I'm sorry to hear she died and that you have lost another one.

Is there a way to get any testing/necropsy through your vet or agricultural ministry so you can nail down what's going on?
When I spoke with the vet he agreed that it sounded like coccidiosis and to go forward with treatment. He gave me a 1 week round at a high dose and 2 weeks on a lower dose and said if there is no improvement to bring one in for a post mortem, which at the time I hadn't lost any yet, I found it strange like he just knew it would be the case. I will definitely take one to the vet for a closer look if I loose any more but hopefully we have the treatment they need.
